This article explains how to standardize the street names and city names in your database.
From the desktop application
From the Home tab click on the Street or Cities menu:
- In the From column enter the street/city name that you wish to replace
- In the To column enter the street/city name that you wish to replace with
- If you wish to replace only one letter, for example the letter é for e
- Enter é in the From field and e in the To field.
- Result: Vérendrye would become Verendrye
- Enter é in the From field and e in the To field.
- You may use wildcards, for example if you wish to have all the different spellings of Saint-Laurent BLVD
- Enter *S*t?Laurent* in the From field and Saint-Laurent BLVD in the To field
- Result: the following spelling would be changed to Saint-Laurent BLVD
- St-Laurent Boul
- Boul Saint Laurent
- St-Laurent
- Saint Laurent
- Result: the following spelling would be changed to Saint-Laurent BLVD
- Enter *S*t?Laurent* in the From field and Saint-Laurent BLVD in the To field
- If you wish to replace only one letter, for example the letter é for e
- Click the Replace button
Notes
- The number under the menu name indicates how many street names or cities match your criteria.
- The Hide zero totals check box, displays only the lines that exist in the database
- You may click the X button on the left side to remove a line
- If you are using the web application, the changes are applied automatically to the web application (no need to sync)
